For those with an curious heart, an open mind, and an adventurous spirit. Sacred Incantations is a healing voice workshop, where together we will explore and unlock the magical potential of the heart's true voice, as we co-create a sacred sound space for self-healing, creative-expression, spiritual connection. You do not need to have any experience chanting or singing to join this workshop.
A mantra is like a cosmic code, which when chanted, can create a specific waveform of sonic energy, which resonates with a particular aspect of life force. There are many mantras and heartsongs, which, can be chanted or sung. Some are abstract, some are devotional, and some are our own unique expression of what it means to feel heard or sung to. Each sound we create will focus on the embodiment of sacred intention, and how we can work with bringing a sense of divine energy into the everydayness of life.
We will work with a combination of yoga, breathwork, voice work, movement, meditation and mantra, combined with some vocal and drum shamanic healing practices, in order to journey towards the sacred 'inner space' that often gets neglected due to the demands of daily life. It is a space for deep relaxation and let go.
Whether you are a chanting novice, a seasoned yogi or a vocal artist, working with sacred sound can help to bring a heightened sense of awareness to the many different ways in which to communicate with the wider universe, ourselves, other living beings and the dreaming experience.
In this workshop we will also explore the notion of ‘Body Mantra’, we will look at what affect the chanting of sound has upon the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies, and create some experiential practices which help us embody a deeper understanding of the use of sound as a sacred incantation.
