 What is Breathwork?

Breathwork is a broad term used to describe a number of different breathing techniques, which support mental, emotional, and physical health when practiced regularly.

There are a wide variety of techniques, which result in a number of different effects on the body's nervous system, also on the mind and many breathing practices form an integral part of spiritual practice and health & wellbeing maintenance. Breathwork practices range from the ancient  pranayama techniques of the Himalayan yogis, to the modern day dynamic techniques, which support somatic healing and help to reduce the symptoms of trauma related stress, whilst also providing a supportive container for emotional release, and reconnection to the felt sense of who you truly are.   Practices such as Conscious Connected Breathwork are practiced to support both emotional & tension release, self-healing and positive transformation, as you journey back into feeling more fully alive and connected to life.
