About the event

As we have now entered the darker part of the year, it becomes a natural place for rest and deep dreaming. The leaves fall, the animals begin to gather themselves inwards, and  if we are lucky, the mysteries of the the darker nights become an invitation for us to tend to our 'inner nest' and create a safe space for nurture, hybernation, and the deeper healing and 'in-sight'

What lies beneath the surface of the everyday, are  the seeds of presence, healing, creativity and inspiration, as we give ourselves full permission to explore the dreaming realms via the healing arts of breathwork,  dreamwork, movement, journeying and artwork as part of a holistic  healing process.

Like the wise owl, we begin to strengthen our nighttime vision and shine an inner light on that which we cannot see in the light of the everyday, like shamanic explorers we learn how to journey inwards to a liminal space of non-ordinary reality and deep  soul connection in order to heal the patterns of the past, and invite in a fresh sense of inspiration . We do this with the breath as our guide, as we learn to rest deeply and listen.

Often times it is within the mysterious space of our night-time dreaming  that we can begin to find the deeper riches of the soul's call, guiding us through the inner imagery of our hearts dreams and  /or nightmares, in order to witness and work with  both our hopes, and fears in transformative and magical ways.

In this workshop you are invited to enter into your own dream interpretation as you explore your own inner language, through visualization, breathwork, meditation and art making as we remember the intuitive value of listening to the hidden messages of our dreaming self as we learn to explore the connections between our waking reality and our nighttime messages as we enter into the dreaming circle.

We will work both individually and within the group environment, with different aspects of our dreams, to explore both the  shadowy corners of the dreaming cave (our blind spots) and also where our hidden potentials may lead us towards.

Together we will aim to create a confidential and non judgemental safe space for healing and creative practice. Whether this process leads us through the more shadowy feelings of grief, sadness, separation etc or whether we move through the feelings of intense joy, inspiration and creative expression, all is welcome in this space, as we learn to hold ourselves with loving arms, through it all.

In many ancient and indigenous traditions, the language of dreaming forms an important part staying connected to natural rythmns of the cosmos and can play an important role in receiving spiritual guidance and in-sight from the ancestral realms and beyond. The dreamtime is said to be a living truth where past, present and future all co-exist, and the creator's intentions for the way we can live in more connection to ourselves, the land and in harmony with all living beings are accessible when we are able to listen deeply.

The wintery months are a perfect time to embark upon the rich journey of 'the art of dreaming and breathing' , as it is the beginning of the darker part of the year, where we enter into the shorter days and longer nights of the dreamtime, where a richer  world of non-ordinary reality, mystery, myth and magic weaves its way into our dreaming time and gifts us with the hidden treasures of the imaginal realms.
